We are able to offer a comprehensive tuning service. We are happy to work on all pianos from the family upright to concert Grands. Piano Tuning is the skill of adjusting the tension of every string to make it sound as pleasant as possible when played with any of the other strings. This is accomplished by turning the tuning pins in the appropriate manner. The piano is designed to deal with a lot of tension. This tension is supported across the frame by the plate, pinblock, tuning pins, bridges and soundboard. Because the piano is made from natural materials, changes in temperature or humidity will cause these parts to move slightly resulting in a change of tension. This will make the piano sound out of tune. Our clients include; Haringey Schools, Dave Stuart’s Church Studios, Jools Holland, Nigel Kennedy, Shirley Bassey, the BBC's Top of the Pops as well as hundreds of local domestic customers. |

Because all pianos have a cast iron frame, even the smallest upright can be very heavy. It is not advisable under any circumstances to attempt to move a piano yourself. Our team of specialist movers can transport your piano safely to any destination. We are experts at stair work and block and tackle jobs. If necessary we are able to remove windows and roof sections in order to crane the piano in to position. Quotations available contact us |
