All the parts including legs and liar are dismantled ready for French Polishing.

The finish is built up to high gloss, the ultimate test of a French Polishers skill.

After de stringing the iron frame is removed in preparation for spaying.

The soundboard is now exposed allowing any cracks to be repaired with spruce shims.

The frame is returned ready for dressing with felt before the piano is re-strung.
