having learned the trade in the family piano business in Watford, Steven Droy moved to Crouch End in 1990.

As a concert tuner he counts celebrities such as Jools Holland and Shirley Bassey as his clients, as well as numerous professional pianists, recording studios and concert halls. Also since 1992 Mr Droy has been maintaining the School pianos within Harringey borough. In 1999 he opened the Crouch End Piano Co. a retail shop and workshop facility.

Steven Droy is available for piano tuning, repairs and regulation. Professional and domestic customers are welcome
 
Norman Mkhize

is a fascinating character who has made piano restoration his life's work. Coming to Britain from his troubled homeland of South Africa, Norman, a Zulu, began his career in the theatre and now lives with his family in Muswell Hill
He has restored pianos for Elton John and Gordon Fergus Thompson, the classical pianist, amongst others. An interesting man with a unique story to tell, Norman has been featured in several documentaries for television and Radio
Nikos Pandis

came from his homeland of Corfu to play Jazz piano in London. He developed his love of the instrument by working as an apprentice piano restorer at Crouch End Piano Co.

Under the supervision of Norman Mkhize, he is now a competent technician and also shop manager. Nikos also gives piano lessons in the shop or at the customers home
 

Nikos is happy to teach adults and children alike. He prefers jazz and blues styles but is also able to coach classical students. Grades for jazz and classical syllabus are also taught.

Lessons are £30.00 per hour.

after graduating with distinction from Conservatorio de musica de Guadalajara he came to the UK to learn piano restoration under the supervision of Norman Mkhize.Now with almost one year under his belt Wilbur a has good understanding of the workshop.

Wilbur also gives private piano tuition. A trained classical pianist, he can take pupils through the grades. Adults and children are welcome. Please contact the shop for details.
